If your tub is built in, you will need to first turn off the plumbing and then demolish the wall holding the tub in place. To do that will require you pull out the plumbing from the wall (f there, an it usually is). Then, you will need to remove the tub. Then, walk in shower will be required, and there are a variety of ways to do that. I suggest you get a professional builder to do most of it unless you have the skill. There are videos on line for how to do it, but, generally, it is an advanced DIY project.
