The easiest way to make over your vanity is to paint it, buy new hardware, and even a new top! You can use chalk paint if you finish it with a clear water based poly or you can purchase a acrylic latex paint made just for trim and cabinets. Prepping the vanity is the key. If you use the chalk paint just clean it all, remove doors and drawers and begin to paint. Two to three coats is good depending on your color. White usually requires three coats. If you use If you choose to use paint, I would clean, sand lightly, remove all hardware, doors and drawers and use a stand alone primer first. Don't skip the primer--some will buy paint with primer in it but using a stand alone primer like Kilz is better. A clear coat over your paint will protect it even more.

Bathroom Cabinet Makeover
Paint is the easiest and least expensive way to make a huge change to the looks of your bathroom vanity. Mine is now painted a bright fushia and added drawer and door pulls from Hobby Lobby which are very blingie and it totally changed the style of my bathroom. Makes me smile every time I look at it!
Hi! I painted my vanity gray (it was oak), added new hardware and put up a new mirror. Easy and inexpensive. Good luck and stay safe!

Are you wanting to re-do the countertop too?
Cultured marble can be painted with epoxy & a binding primer.
Plastic laminate pairing kits work very well too.
Both need to be applied by-the-book.
