Can I have the formca counter tops in my bathroom removed and replace?

I would like to know if my formica counter tops can be removed and granite or marble tops put on. Also would like to have the floor replaced to match the countertops. I would really just like to redo my entire bathroom. I think it would cost around 4 to 5 thousand to redo it all, but I would love to have it updated.

Of course we live on a fixed income so we will never be able to redo it, we'll just have to dream about it.

Yes why not under the sink there is a bracket or two that holds the top on when you unscrew the screws that will come off after you remove the sink

You can change your vanity top. Just be sure to get the measurements right before removing the top. Home Depot sells granite and marble tops which are not all that expensive. You may need to look at a new sink and faucets too while you are at it. Do a little at a time and you will eventually get there.

  • You can do anything you want with the right budget. Yes formica can be removed and replaced. Visit all the stone yards in your area. See if you can find remnants which are typically sold for pennies on the dollar. Another option would be to consider granite or marble tile which is significantly less than full slab pieces. Or just purchase one of the popular countertop kits and paint your current countertops to look like marble or granite.

yes. It will be cheaper and easier to replace if it’s not surrounded by tile on the walls, otherwise all that tile needs to be removed to get the countertop off. You might be able to afford this from Stone Coat Countertops https://youtu.be/5K879xrhblg

You certainly can have formica countertops replaced with granite. You might look into quartz, it might be more economical for you. Floors can be painted which are really a money saver!

If you have standard bathroom countertop size, like 36, 42, 48” then all of the DIY Big Box stores have builder’s grade granite tops. Beware, they have fake granite tops that look very real. Note: they have thin edges, as in the edges are not built up.

If you’ve a top bigger than 60” then you’re look at custom order from either the big box or a local fabricator. A local fabricator will build up the edge into a choice of edge profiles.

The countertops can definitely be replaced. Likewise with the flooding. Once both of those are done a nice coat of paint would help with the overall appearance and it would be cheap to do.

sure you can they will come out and make a template of the counter top once you pick what you want for replacement - your flooring could be matched to the countertops once you decide on a color, etc. just go to a flooring store for ideas for countertops and flooring

The ledges can be supplanted. In like manner with the flooding. When both of those are done a pleasant layer of paint would assist with the general appearance and it is modest to do.
