Hi Bob You could also use some peel and stencils on your shower doors or paint stencils yourself.
There are some very elegant peel and stick ones out there. Check with Lowe’s .

Paint the vanity, new countertop, granite or one of the new Formica’s that look like granite (depending on your budget). New faucet and I forgot your budget allows look into a frameless shower door. Nice floor by the way!
If your budget allows, replace the shower doors with frameless glass. I’d switch out the faucet(s) on the sinks with a contrasting color (like oil rubbed bronze) and keep the countertop if it’s in good shape. Your tub and sink(s) are white so I’m assuming your toilet is too. Switch out the flush handle and shower set to match. It’s a dramatic contrast and really brightens up your bathroom. I hope this helps!
Paint the cabinet and walls and put down some nice throw rugs to brighten it up!
Hi Bob. I would replace the countertop with something with a rounded edge to break up all the sharp edges in the room. I'd look for a bowl sink that sits on the countertop. Maybe, the cabinets could be gel stained a darker shade but it's hard to tell the exact color of your floor.Add a plant and towels with a pop of color.
Cultured only means manufactured. Ditch it! Find a complementary counter top and modern sink. No white.
What's the thing on the bottom of the shower door?
I'm not sure what you mean. It's an oval tub converted to a shower and has about a 4 inch edge to step over into the shower.
It's the bottom of the open shower door.
From the picture it looks to me like the bathroom is quite updated already, with the newer floor and beautiful shower. The countertop looks lovely, and is so easy to clean having an integrated sink! I would say leave it in place.
An easier, less messy option to having updated cabinet doors compared with painting, is to purchase two new cabinet doors in a newer design. Simply take the old ones off, and install the new ones. Choose modern looking knobs or handles.
Another fast way, without involving any construction, to update any bathroom is to replace the light fixture with a new LED integrated fixture, or a modern style fixture with dimmable LED bulbs. LED light is bright, clear, and and makes the room seem larger, as it has few shadows, compared with incandescent bulbs which cast a yellowy shade. Swapping out a standard wall switch with a dimmer switch will result in more options in lighting the bathroom, that can be altered according to time of day and season.
Thank you all for the suggestions! I'm looking at new cabinet doors and framing the mirror. Also checking out the new formica samples.
You're welcome. 'Wishing you a Happy Christmas.
