What I’m looking for is some easy way to put a quick extension on the end of my faucet. So when my granddaughter steps up to wash her hands the water will come over closer to her.
Dmb, I wish I had a picture, but I’m thinking you need a hinged shelf. If the hinge and the right size board were on a stud, the shelf could be out of the way when you don’t need it, and meet the usual countertop when you need more space. A little piece of wood attached by wood glue to the present counter serves as a stop so the shelf will go where it belongs and not too far down. Best wishes to you. ☺️
