Talk to a knowledgeable person in a paint store - like Sherwin-Williams. We painted a pink bathroom years ago, but we were told the material we used was very toxic if injested. Hopefully, there is a safer product on the market. I wouldn't go to the big box stores for advice, just someone really knowledgeable, and get other information on the net before you make a final decsion. Or, you could leave it pink. Like everything else in decor, it will 'become popular again at some time and you'll wish you had left it pink.
YES! There are a number of paints in the craft paint aisle that are for glass and ceramic, and you can also sand them to rough up the glossy finish, apply a good bonding primer and paint. We had some very ugly and dated ceramic tiles on our old backsplash and opted for real glass ‘veneer’ stick on tiles and just went over them. We sealed in between them with silicone caulk and it was fast, easy, and came out great.
