I welcome any ideas for shower curtain in oddly set up bathroom

I bought an old house with a very small bathroom. There is a window wall directly across from the door. The bathtub sits on the left wall with the end of the tub below the window. I'm having plumbing for a shower added. The problem is how to hang a shower curtain with the window going 1/2 way into the tub area. I've tried raising the rod above the windows woodwork but that looks really bad. Using a curved rod looks just as bad. Removing the window isn't an option.

I'm trying to imagine your shower and I think something on Pinterest about mounting a rod/bar from the ceiling. What about going across the shower & the tub and making it look like curtains with a valance & tie backs maybe? I hope this helps. Good luck with this, I'm sure you'll figure it out with the help of other Hometalkers!

If you could post a picture, that would really help.

@Debi53 I know a picture would help but it's not possible. Thanks anyway !

what about using a spring rod and making a matching window curtain using a second shower curtain made to size just inside the window.

Would it be possible to add a privacy window film to the glass panes of the window? That would allow you light but not a view to the bathroom activity. You could also consider installing an oval hanging shower curtain. It would be hanging directly above the tub and wouldn't require being attached to the wall near the window.

If you could configure tiled shower walls & floor that would keep the water in, you could skip the curtain altogether. It would add value to your home, as well. I don't like the style of this one, but it gives you a good idea of what I'm talking about:

What about a ceiling mounted shower rod?, Like the old Victorian style or hospital kind. I've seen the tracks at salvage yards... Keep the curtain inside the tub while showering and then just whisk it off to the side when done and not block the window. I'm trying to imagine your bathroom layout..

@M. M.. Thanks M.M. That just may do the trick. It looks really off to have the shower curtain splitting the window down the middle.

A photo would make this much easier to answer.

GLUE THOSE GLASS STONES TO YOUR BATHROO M WINDOW MODPODGE WILL HOLE THEM BUT U HAVE TO START FROM THE BOTTOM AND LET THEM REST ON EACH OTHER TILL DRY. PUT A FEW COATS OF MODPODGE OVER THEM AFTER THEY DRY AND THE GLUE WILL BECOME YOUR GROUT. A SHOWER CURTAIN TIED BACK IN THE MIDDLE SO U CAN SEE YOUR PRETTY WINDOW. DHALL

@Allinthefamilysingers thanks great idea but the window is on a wall attached to the foot of the tub.

You could use 2 rods. One higher and one lower. Hang the liner on the lower and use a valance or curtains on the higher one.

How about the round shower curtain rod like they have in Europe over the bath
