Hello Kathleen! I am thinking that painting a toilet would not work too well. Too much moisture inside the bowl and many times the outside of the tank sweats as well. I just am not confident that painting a toilet would be a long lasting fix. You might be able to find a different colored lid/toilet seat cover that could tone things down a bit and could purchase/make a cover for your tank lid as well. BUT...there are instructions for painting toilets! You may have to consider what material your toilet is made from before you try painting it!

Hi Kathleen,
I agree with Gk, moisture, condensation, wear and tear from use, are all factors to be considered. The paint would prpbably not hold up, also subject to cleaning and scuffing.
Put on a pretty seat cover/lid, maybe a covered tank top would help.
Hi Kathleen, I agree with GK, not sure how well it would wear, but this blogger did it. You might reach out to see how it's held up. https://www.craftylittlegnome.com/husband-painted-toilet-gold/
Hi, Kathleen!
I agree with the consensus about NOT painting it... The paint will not stick and will be a bigger problem with bubbles and peeling from the moisture. I think it' would look just fine among the other colorful things you've described in your bathroom!

I’m not sure how well this would work out. For the time and expense of trying to alter it, it may cost less to purchase a new one in a color you want.
Hello there,
From your description (Vibrant Room) I would suggest wearing SUNGLASSES! Might be better to leave it white and just use a Vibrant Toilet Seat and White Towels.........
I do not think it will hold up well to paint. I would paint the walls, use colorful towels, paint the vanity a bright color, frame the mirror with bright colors etc.
Actually you are better off not painting the toilet. Paint will not hold up to the constant pressure of flushing. Decorate around it or order a colored porcelain toilet from Home Depot, or Lowes.
