Replacing plastic tiles

I bought this house in Iowa in Dec 2017 and all around the walls are these Plastic tiles that are popping off due to the mastic not holding them anymore, I want to take them down clean the wall and put them back minus the tub surround I will use a prefab wall so that being said can I install them like normal tiles with the gap for grout?

Ours pop off also but we just put new mastic behind them and put them back....I am not sure about using grout..but don't know....we use it on the ceramic tile but not on the plastic.
Actually the plastic tiles bevel down along the edges. The butt up to each other. There would be no room for grout. Just put them back up with tile mastic on the walls, butter the back of the tiles and slap them on.
We have the same tiles in white you need to but them next to each other
