How do I keep my shower curtain tension rod from falling?

My husband retiled the bathtub area and we can't keep the shower curtain rod up. We don't want to drill into the tile. The space from the tile and wall would not work because it is too much of a gap. The only thing I can think of are the adhesive plastic hooks to rest the rod on??????Any suggestions from puzzled senior.

buy a longer rod they make them up over 8o" long; open the rod up farther and shove it into place it won't be and should not be easy,put one end in place it will be at an angle then push into place until it's level push hard & it's easier to push upwards instead of sideways,put the rod on the grout area to hold it better than slick tile
What about a piece of rubber to rest the rod on.
Buy a new spring tension rod for the opening.
6 Rubber Washers and Superglue. They use in plumbing because they expand and contract alot less than anything else.

The big box stores sell a closet rod holder that is round and has a cupped U shaped rest for the rod. I’m not sure what you could use to adhere it to tile, but there is probably an adhesive that would work.
Mount a regular curtain rod from the ceiling.
