How to Update a shower stall without removing it?

Hi!
We have a small shower stall in our guest bath that's one piece and made of I suppose fiberglass (whatever tub surrounds are made of). Basically, it's boring and I was looking for ideas to spruce it up without spending a lot. I've read people have tiled over these, but don't know if that works well. I'd even be happy just to have the floor of it spruced up! Thanks!
