I’ve seen a lot of Embrace The Pink bathroom renovations lately.

I like the Florida Vintage Pink Flamingo motif.

without pictures I can’t give you design advice, but I do advise

making sure you have a new high CFM exhaust fan that vents outside and that all of your grout is mold free and re-sealed with non yellowing grout sealer.

Make sure the toilet wax ring is fresh & the toilet isn’t leaking.

Sink plumbing- also check for leaks & water damage, inside the cabinet.

To make pink bathrooms look less pink, paint the walls a similar but softer color/ like a warm beige or a warm gray. Do not paint the walls green or blue, unless you want the pink to pop. The same with towels & shower curtain.,

I renovated a screaming yellow & black tiled 1940’s bathroom by painting the walls lighter yellow, it worked.

You can go with a fun theme like tropical or flamingo.

    Retro with black accent.

Tone it down with gray and white.

It would depend on your style and goals. I had a bathroom with pink fixtures. We replaced the sink with a white vanity, toilet with white modern one, painted the cabinets white, put pink crystal knobs on it, then did the floor and walls in a light gray. Kept the pink tub from the 1950's because I love the color and it's a bit oversized so it's comfortable for soaking.

Thanks, Kathy. This does give me some ideas.

Don't paint your fixtures, embrace them. Pink.is in right now so add some wallpaper that has a little bit of pink in it and other stronger colors or sponge paint the walls in many colors with a touch of pink. Have fun. Anything you paint on your tile or tub will peel any way

Depending upon your location and decorating tastes, this color also lends itself to a Southwestern motif.

It can be somewhat toned down with a custom shower curtain of fine cotton/poly with a floral/tropical theme, with a print sized to fit your bath.

Kathy is absolutely correct about keeping the tub for its size. New ones (unless soaker sized or similar) are much smaller.

You can change your floor tile, or go retro with the older, smaller tiles in shades of green, to your liking.
