How can I make a fiberglass shower floor less slippery?

Walk-in shower floor on a new home is made of white fiber glass is very slippery when wet. Any ideas on how to make it no- slippery? I tried sticking things on floor didn’t work. Bath mat gets to much maintenance. Thinking about painting and sand with it. Ideas?

I have a rubber mat in mine. Has suction disks in it. No maintaince. I just pull up after shower and let drip dry.

Don't paint and add sand! At most it is just a temporary fix and after a while it won't look nice and you will have a real mess to repair!

You can purchase spray on products. I have never used them so I can't really say if they work well. Just something to consider.
Get a better quality of the stick on strips, and focus on applying them to the area where you stand and get out of the shower.
I like @Pat's answer. The rubber mat will conform to the slope in the shower and is easy to clean in the washing machine (don't put in the dryer). Anything that is sprayed on will ultimately come up due due to the moist conditions in the shower. Also- the wood does look nice, however we only recommend it is showers that were designed for this product as part of the other all aesthetic. It looks better in all tiled shower, however it is wood and does take maintenance.
