This is an old and outdated counter top. The homeowners can't afford to replace it at this time, so I'm trying to help!

Rustoleum and Gianni both offer countertop restoration kits

I saw the Rustoleum product on line and thought that was good option!

I just saw an idea not too long ago I was thinking of trying in my bathroom for the very same reason. Prime, paint and seal the old counter top.

Try a countertop paint kit. Gianni is a popular brand. Takes some time to apply because it is a multistep process, but you can end up with a refreshed countertop that looks like granite or even marble.

Available on Amazon is a product called "Giani Countertop Paint Kit". I have not used it, but it seems well liked by reviewers. At $70 it isn't cheap but if the countertop is large it may be the least expensive durable option.

Others have used contact paper that is made to install on counters, also sold on Amazon, but I would wonder about durability. This may not be a concern and if the countertop is not over 6', you could remodel it for under $30.

I saw this product also. It seems like a long process. Contact paper seems kind of cheesey!! Although we did use the vinal, stick on tiles. Worked great and looks wonderful!

Or, for a more temporary solution, use nice contact paper!
