What’s the easiest way to remove and install a bathtub?

    Once it's detatched from the plumbing and the walls, and assuming it's cast iron and not plastic: lay a heavy painter's canvas on the floor, scooch the tub inside the canvas. Wrap it inside the canvas. You may need another over the top, depending on sizes. Put on heavy leather gloves and safety glasses. Take a sledgehammer and whack away. It should break into manageable pieces that one person should be able to carry to the trash. As for installing, I've not done that, just watched, so check with the manufacturer for their recommended steps. Have fun, Ruth!
