There are many ways to do this. You can make the bath look like a window by putting a split curtain on a rod - each pushed to either side. A curved shower rod would give it a unique look.
You can go the custom route, buying your own fabric to make two smaller panels. Or for the ultimate fullness flanking your shower, buy two of the same curtain panels or readymade shower curtains and hang them side-by-side, only pushed out to the edges of your shower's frame.
I hung both of my curtains on a single rod. I used a decorative liner (pvc?) for the entire width of the shower. Then I took a cloth shower curtain and cut in half, lengthwise. I used fray check on the edge of the cuts then did a small hem. I hung those with the factory hem in the center of the rod and my hem against the walls because they weren't as pretty. I used the same hooks as the liner and doubled over for 2 of the hooks on each side. This will require you to purchase 2 sets of hooks but you only need 1 rod.
This is what I did to my bathroom, I love the 2 rod system, it works well for us and the outer curtain with grommets rather than hooks.

I hung two on a single rod. I had some extra shower curtain hooks and just clipped those next two the regular hooks (I got some nice looking hooks for the outside that shows. These hooks are metal and have small balls that help the curtain roll smoothly. I got mine at Amazon and the set was less then $15 dollars.
I picked up a nice tip from posted by a customer. Simply put some WD 40 on a rag and rub that over the bar so those metal bags are lubricated. So easy put makes a huge difference.
I purchase my shower curtains at Marshalls or Home Goods. I match them on the rod. I like a full shower curtain. Or you can use drapes with shower curtain hooks.
The way I upgraded the main bathroom in my home that visitors use by making my own shower curtain. I used the shower hooks that have a hanger on both sides. My ceilings are 9' in height. I placed the shower rod at ceiling height and made the curtain long enough to reach the floor. I then used two regular length clear vinyl shower curtains and cut the second one so I could attach it to the bottom of the first one. I attached it buy using a zig-zag stitch so it would last well. I thought about using the remainder of the second shower curtain to make pockets to hold shower products but decided not to do so.....ran out of steam!:) I do get compliments and questions about it when I have new friends visit. It does give a rather high end look. In the home I owned prior to this I had a fabric covered valance board screwed into the 8' ceiling.

Type in double shower curtain on Amazon and check out the new ones that have a mesh panel at the top. SO cool. They let light in and you still have privacy. I have one printed in navy and yellow and they have a snap off panel on the inside to throw in the wash.
Plain white plastic interior curtain and outer curtain of my choice to match room decor.
Your answers have given me so many ideas, I can't wait to try out my double shower curtain project, thank you

I love the look of placing one shower curtain bar at the ceiling and one lower. The higher one goes in front with two actual curtain panels, one on each end. Then a shower curtain hung on the lower bar in the middle. It give a very formal look.

With our two curtains (the pretty one on the outside and the working one on the inside) we just used the same rod and threaded them on it every other loop.
