Thrifty Bathroom Update - Beach Inspired

3 Materials
We bought our home six years ago. The house needed renovating, the small toilet received a lick of paint over the textured wallpaper and we swiftly moved onto the main rooms in the home. Six years on it's an embarrassment.
The tap was temperamental, the boxing had to come off to allow a plumber access to repair.
With a minimal budget we maximised the materials we had. The wall paper was removed and new boxing in attached. The walls were painted with paint from the shed.
I collected items from around the garden painting them in the same shade of chalk paint - I mixed the shade of paint to match the roller blind made from a former curtain.
The tin cans are perfect containers for succulents/ I am amazed at how well the chalk paint covered the rusty old cans.
Our collection of sea glass and shells remind me of sunshine and family time. I updated an old frame, reusing the picture mount.
Click through to the blog to see the collection of holey pebbles, plus the roman blind made with garden canes. The update is not quite finished as I have yet to create a towel rail, lets hope it doesn't take another six years!
