Transform Your Bathroom Into a Spa

You don't have to pay top dollar to get that spa like quality in your bathroom! Simply put -- raise the bar. Inspired by this YHL post, I decided to add some drama to my 108" ceilings by raising my shower rod from the standard 72" to a luxury 98". I found a deal on a 96" shower curtain and liner here and here, and with the help of my new friend 6' Werner ladder from Lowe's, I transformed my bathroom from a builder's standard to high society. I also threw in some new shower rings from Allen + Roth for a finishing touch. More on this project @

Changing the height of the shower curtains enhances the height of the ceiling and in doing so creates the look of a larger bathroom.

Yes, same concept of hanging long flowing curtains in a living room from floor to ceiling... works well for those too!
