Bar Stools Flip Into Girls Vanitiy 1

I had been working around these two old bar stools when inspiration struck! I could see a little girls vanity hiding in them. So with the help of my hubby and his skill saw, we cut out two vanity tops from left over plywood. Everything else I had in my craft room to complete this project.
I cut each of the bar stool legs down to a size that would fit comfortably for a 9 year old girl. I used the bottom portion of the legs for the vanity and the top part with the seat for the vanity stool. Then I painted the stool and legs with a Valspar paint sample I purchased from the mis-mixed bin for 50 cents at Home Depot.
After I painted the stool, I used Mog-podge to glue lace to the top.
After sanding and painting the vanity top, I used acrylic paints to add a ring of flowers. I also had some small jewelry boxes I picked up at a garage sale for 25 cents. I painted one and used lace and mog-podge on it as well.
I painted and covered an old mirror with lace. I added a small mirror to the back drop, some dark brown ribbon as trim and a bow to finish the mirror.
