Dresser Turned Bathroom Vanity
For my most recent remodel we found this adorable piece of furniture for $80 on Facebook Marketplace that we thought would make the best custom vanity. It had some femininity and character that we wanted to pair with the geometric tile.
Built in vanity before
The dresser we bought. I actually loved the yellow but I had bigger plans!
Using my Wagner Flexio 3500 paint sprayer I painted the dresser “Trellis Vine” by Behr.
Next I added some more streamlined hardware. I actually tried the original hardware spray painted gold first. But it was too ornate for this space and gave me Wizard of Oz vibes.
Using a hole saw we drilled into the dresser for the faucet and drain. I cringed a little but trusted my husband’s measuring…
Which was incorrect because of thr mirror and we had to drill again! Uhg! Luckily I can patch it pretty easily.
We used this super affordable vessel sink on top for the easiest option.
We had to cut the drawers to make room for the plumbing inside but I’ll add a back pieces so that its still useable, just smaller.
It turned out pretty cute!

What did you use to seal the top? I’m doing the same thing and can’t get the top sealed enough to stop water spots. Yours is gorgeous!!!
You did a nice job--it is really lovely. Were you fortunate enough to find a dresser that just happened to fit perfectly or did you have to adjust the width in any way? I would love to do this. Thank you for sharing.
