This Shabby Chic Inspired girl's bedroom makeover will get you in touch with your feminine side with it's pastel color palette. This bedroom was redesigned on a budget with new paint, new carpeting and an assortment of repurposed second hand finds.
I love the warmth, femininity, and coziness of Shabby Chic style. My daughter's bedroom had not been touched since we moved into the home when she was 3 years old. It was a mish mash of decor and furniture that had seen better days. Now that she is in High School I knew it was time for a much needed makeover. I began by repainting the entire room a warm mint green and replaced the worn carpeting.
When the walls and floors were done I brought in "new" furniture that I had purchased from local thrift stores. I gave each piece a makeover ahead of time.
I repurposed her old toy box by giving it a new coat of paint. It now sits at the end of her bed and holds extra bedding. I was so happy to be able to reuse this piece since she has had it since she was a baby. I gave it some personality by decoupaging her initial cut from decorative scrapbook paper.
I finished up the room with a variety of new, vintage and upcycled thrift store items.
She loves her room and it is a great place for her to relax after a busy day at school. You can see more of this transformation on my website at: https://www.lisascreativedesigns.com/pastel-shabby-chic-inspired-girls-bedroom-makeover/

Looks like it was time for a change. Did the same for my grandaughter when she and my daughter lived with me. She outgrew the bubblegum pink walls pretty fast. Looks great and a great job.
