A Wall Pattern Can Create A Calming Bedroom Ambiance

1 Material
A serene bedroom is a space that will set the tone for relaxed evenings, a better night's sleep, and an energized morning. Consider giving your bedroom a subtle style makeover by using wall stencils and paint. A pretty wall pattern when paired with a soothing color combination can make any bedroom look cozy and sophisticated. Today we’re going to share with you a master bedroom that was enhanced with a wall stencil pattern. Come take a look...
We'd like to welcome back Teresa Alice, an Interior Decorator and DIY mastermind behind Conundrum Decor. Teresa Alice is known for designing appealing spaces and effectively pulling together patterns and color combinations. This time she has us swooning over a dreamy master bedroom. Teresa Alice was tasked with giving a plain bedroom a contemporary makeover. While wallpaper can be a great way to add visual interest to a space, it's expensive and a hassle to install. She wrote this on her website, "Never bother with wallpaper again! Stenciling has moved on & up in the world. No more of that green ivy we would see in everyone’s kitchen. Stenciling today allows for complete customization to the exact esthetics required for the design." We couldn't agree more!
Teresa Alice browsed our website and selected the Beads Allover Stencil. This wall pattern is one of our geometric stencils and is perfect for enhancing a boring bedroom.
Teresa Alice painted the bedroom walls using Crushed Ice by Sherwin Williams, a soothing gray hue. Then she was ready to start her stenciling project! She used blue painter's tape to hold the stencil design in place and she painted the pattern in gray and creamy white.
After each section was complete, she would untape the stencil and reposition to finish the pattern on the wall. For more information on how to stencil, please check out our stencil tutorials. Are you ready to see how her master bedroom turned out? Here is her latest project. Teresa Alice had this to say about her stencil project, "Master bedroom feature wall complete. Love the soft tones & the calming feel of the room. I will never wallpaper again!"
We love the serene color combination that she chose for this contemporary pattern.
