A New Life for An Old Chest

Well here's what it looked like when I went to pick it up on my lunch hour:
Well, here's what it looked like when I spotted it on Craigslist:
The top was a mess so the first thing I did was sand it down and refinish it using Annie Sloan dark wax only.
Next I painted the body a rich gray from General Finishes called Queensland. I love how the color transformed and elevated this chest! I chose to trade the original undersized hardware for some bard in pulls from Amazon and two porcelain knobs from my stash.
