Heidi from Lily Field Furniture used Simplicity and Tough Coat to update this French Provincial dresser for it’s new home in a little girl’s nursery!
Good morning and Happy 2017! I am kicking of this New Year with a French Provincial dresser makeover for you!

My client wanted this childhood dresser updated for her little girls nursery. You can see it has seen better days and needed some hardware intervention.
Because this dresser was laminate I took a few extra steps to ensure proper adhesion. First I filled all of the hardware holes and then had my sweet husband measure and drill new holes. After this process was completed I sanded very thoroughly with 120 grit and then 220 grit sandpaper. I also primed with an oil based spray primer to prevent yellowing and to make absolutely sure my paint would stay put!

We selected Country Chic Paint in Simplicity for a bright, fresh white. After sealing with Tough Coat and adding new hardware this dresser is all ready for its new home!
