This was my first time using chalk paint and I was a bit nervous.. Once I got used to the paint consistency and how to get a desired color, I became more comfortable using it. It was a lot of work but well worth the effort!
This was an outdated dresser that had great bones but wasn't aestically pleasing to the eye (unless it was 1970).
I started by painting the entire dresser in white chalk paint, then moved to the dresser drawers with American Decor chalk paint color: Treasure. I started from the bottom and worked my way up adding white chalk paint to the original color.

The preferred way to do this is start with the lighter and add the darker paint. I know cause it takes a heck of a lot more white to lighten than it does to add a small amount of dark and darken the white. I did it with a green for walls Start with the lighter and go darker.
