How to Update an Outdated Dresser

Have you seen this style of dresser before and the finish is worn and you think to yourself, "That brown beast has seen better days!" You may think twice when you see how in a few simple steps that outdated dresser looks modern and chic. Come get all the details on the blog.
My parents gave us a set just like this with the faux speckled veneer finish and although they can look hideous, they are built to last. What to do if one is worn and needs refreshed like this one?
Minimal prep work is required to get started and you can have this project done in a day.
When I am ready to paint a piece, I let it speak to me. I want to try to keep the style true to the era and bring it back to the glory it once was. I wanted to create a rustic modern look.
After a couple coats of the chalky finish paint, I use my handmade furniture wax to give it a lustre topcoat and longevity.
No need to toss those gorgeous brass pulls, just pop on over to the blog to learn a little trick I used to create dimension.
A classic look with modern appeal. It is striking redone, and new life is given to this once overlooked piece. Makes for an awesome dresser, entertainment console, credenza, or buffet. In love with it? You can find it available in my shop
