Summer is almost here and to celebrate the season I did this dresser with a nautical theme. I love the beach, the ocean, the surf..... But since I live so far from it I thought I would bring it to the prairies. I found this old dresser in one of my adventures.
Made in the 30's, solid wood, but it need it help. I started by stripping the piece to bare wood. I sanded all the surfaces and wiped them clean .
I primed the wood and then I did 3 coats of " white linen" by Rustolium. This is a new paint in a spray can but its chalk paint. After I was done my 3 coats I embellished the piece with a nautical theme wallpaper border. I added white porcelain knobs and here it is! Easy, breeze awesome little dresser.
Enjoyed the project?
