Peacock Blue and Gold Eastlake Dresser
by
The Painted Drawer by Suzanne Bagheri
(IC: blogger)
I took a vintage Eastlake dresser and used blue and gold to give it a glam makeover.
This little Eastlake dresser was missing a drawer bottom and needed a bit of tlc before it was ready for its makeover.
Here is the before pic. I purchased the dresser from Craigslist. I really love Eastlake dressers - they are the perfect size and such a pretty shape.
I used General FInishes milk paint in Corinth Blue with a dark glaze on the body to create the peacock blue.
The flowered details were highlighted in gold which really complements the blue.
This piece adds a pop of color in any room!

Shelby @ The Weathered Barn Studio on Mar 25, 2015...Its the first time I have ever seen an Eastlake piece painted....since they are so collectible. Its a beautiful color. My boyfriend would have a fit...lol. He had a 1890's Eastlake Secretary...we sold it , but he loves Eastlake furniture. I think its lovely and looks nice.
