Refinished Dresser Set

For a while now, I have been searching for a used dresser set that I could refinish for my son's Avengers theme bedroom. The dressers were all I needed to get the project started, as we have been buying decorative pieces a little at a time over the last year. Several weeks ago, I finally found two solid wood dressers that I knew would work for my son's bedroom!
I planned on replacing all the hardware but after pricing even the most inexpensive pieces, I was looking at spending a lot of money. I just removed the leaf drawer pulls since I knew my son didn't like them. I found some bar pulls in a contractor pack to replace them and decided to keep the small "elbow noodle" pulls. I spray painted them in a chrome finish so they would all match...and since the small ones needed a new finish anyway. I had to cover the holes for the old hardware and drill new ones for the replacement pulls. I measured carefully, quite a few times...and still managed to get a couple of the wrong. Luckily, it wasn't too hard to fix!
You can see where the old finish was wearing away on the old hardware. I saved $60-$80 since I didn't have to replace all the small pulls...
My son is so happy with his "new" furniture, which turned out to be a great color for his Avengers bedroom. The color I used is called Downpour Blue from Benjamin Moore.
I also spray painted the small metal pieces that cover the bottom of the legs, since they were gold. That was a bit more challenging and didn't turn out so perfect, but no one has really looked that close anyway.
Now that the dressers are done, I am ready to get started on painting and redecorating my son's bedroom!
