Sleeping Beauty Antique Serpentine Dresser

Sometimes furniture shouldn't be painted. This is a mahogany dresser that I recently bought. The color of the mahogany veneer was so beautiful that I couldn't bring myself to paint it. I wanted to make it become a piece of ART.
The first part was to clean the veneer. Then to choose a suitable transfer to use on the front.
This is the piece of furniture that challenged me. I've been doing image transfers for several years, and am pretty good at them. This one did not want to play!
The white areas show where the image did not transfer. I had to hand paint over them, to make the image seem credible. But I also needed the image to have an authentic 'aged' look to it.
This is the stage I like to do most! Sat on the ground with my little paintbrushes.
And after a week, or so of working on it.

I have this.
Gold leafing on the trim.
