Good Morning my Beauties! I have a fun makeover for you guys this morning. One that I did so long ago that I almost FORGOT about it.
This was how it started. An older dark pine with a laminate top. I started on it as soon as we got from Spring Break......Yeah that's right, you heard me.......SPRING break. On Friday my kids go on SUMMER break. I told you I almost forgot about it.
ANYWHOOOOOO.....being inspired by our spring break vacation and the beach, I decided to go with a beachy feel. I custom mixed up some green and green blue that I named Tide Pool Greens. I painted it on the dresser and wet blended the drawers and the top with the lighter green. Once it was dried I waxed and buffed the whole thing.
For the handles I simply pulled off the back plates on the old hardware to give it a little more updated modern feel.
It went perfect with the original acrylic painting I had painted when we got home from vacation. The colors and theme of it all went together. My painting "looking down or out" sat perched perfectly on top of the Tide Pool Green Beachy dresser.
While I kept the painting for myself (I couldn't let her go yet) The dresser sold right away. So someone besides me was feeling a bit beachy too! I hope you enjoyed the latest makeover. Make sure you link up at our Something To Talk about Link Party that goes up every Monday morning. Until next time, go make someones day BEAUTIFUL!
