I never really liked these bedside tables/mirrors, but they were a good height for a tall bed and had great storage, so instead of buying new I figured I would try to change up the style.
I knew I wanted a silver finish and spray paint works best for that in my experience, so I started with the mirrors
With both mirrors finished, I had to head out for more spray paint, and ultimately issue number 1.  The same store had run out and had one very similar looking (same brand and cap) and the clerk told me they'd "just changed the packaging".  I didn't really buy it, but didn't feel like running all over town so picked up a couple cans.
As soon as I started spraying the base cabinet I realized it was a completely different silver (much more reflective) and fortunately/unfortunately it was a WAY better finish.  It just meant more time re-taping and re-spraying the mirrors!
Since the tops get more use, I took the time to sand the finish lightly as well as repair one spot where the veneer had come off before spraying with a flat black spray paint (as well as the doors/drawer)
All of the black pieces I finished with 2 coats of high gloss varathane.  I finished one complete table and then ran into issue number 2.  I have no idea why (humidity?) when applying the second coat of varathane to the second table it bubbled and clearly the first coat hadn't adhered properly.  It meant starting all over with sanding it right down and starting fresh!
Some new handles, and sprayed the original hinges with the silver spray and it's complete!
