Did you have one of these rocker chairs growing up?

Think they’re outdated? Think again! ❤️

Take a look at this modern makeover! 🔥

I'm starting with an old bentwood rocker

First remove the arm pieces

I sand them down with my DEWALT Random Orbit Sander which works perfect

This is what the arm pieces look like once they're done being sanded down to bare wood

Next I bleached and whitewashed the arms and then set them aside because you won't want them to get dirty in this next step.

Time to spray paint! The spray gun I started using makes my projects so much easier and this process was really quick. Click here to see the exact brand and model.

Spray paint everything from the back, seat and legs all your preferred color (for me it's black). After my initial coat I do put a top coat of black matte

Put the arms back on the chair

Check out this beauty!!!

The contrasting colors give the rocker energy, and the specific shades you chose make it look high end.👍️

I have the exact same rocker that I got when our first child was born 36 years ago. Now I am going to use it for my first grandchild. Yours looks amazing! Thank you for the inspiration.
