I found this lovely piece for sale on my local Craigslist site for just $12 and boy did I have plans for it!
I wiped it down but that was about it for prepping the piece! I mixed up some plaster-of-paris paint from some leftovers I had in the basement.
I painted the whole piece the same color except for the drawer fronts. I had something else in mind for them.
The center of the drawers and the handles got a couple coats of Waverly Chalk Paint from Walmart.
After the chalk paint was dry, I went back to the drawer fronts and outlined the scroll work with a silver paint pen. This really helped that detail to pop!
The handles received a coating of that same Waverly white. When they were dry I applied some Rub n'Buff in silver to help them stand out and create some more visual interest in the piece.
After everything had fully dried, I added a coat of Annie Sloan wax and buffed her up. Can't you just imagine Frenchy in an all white bedroom?
