DIY How to Make an Upholstered Head Board

There are so many headboards available you will be spoilt for choice, but instead of spending hundreds of dollars, why not attempt and make your own. All you need is an old headboard as a template and you can create whatever you want.
The headboard was still in pretty good shape, a little dated and there were a few scratches and marks on it so I decided to simply re-upholster it.
I removed the legs.
I then removed the backing from the headboard and the old fabric.
Before upholstering I decided to add some extra cushioning so I covered the board with some new batting.
I then cut out the pieces of the new fabric using the old pieces as a template.
All you then need to do is staple the pieces in place.
continue until all three panels are covered. Then simply cut out a piece of fabric and glue it at the back to cover it.
drill holes and add the legs back on.
and your headboard is ready.
