I love when I find a bargain!! I found this beauty at goodwill for a mere $6, yes, $6!! There was nothing wrong with it at all!
All it needed was a new identity lol! It just needs a little bit of TLC I’ll have it looking brand new!
After cleaning it with Krud cutter, I sanded it down. I intended to just scuff it up so that the paint would stick, but the old stain came off perfectly.
I was able to do all of the drawers too! I love the natural look so it was a plus that it came off easily.
I decided to just paint the rest of the dresser in white using my spray gun. I use the critter spray gun. You need to have a large compressor for it to work. It’s just faster to spray.
For the drawers, I made a white wash. About half cup of water and two tablespoons of paint. You can make it lighter or darker, it just depends how you want it to look!
I dipped a sponge into the mixture, then ran it along the drawer. I waited till it dried, then did it again until I was happy with the result.
Instead of buying new hardware, I took the old knobs off, then sprayed them white.
I’m so happy with how it looks! A fresh new look! I used verathane wax from Home Depot to seal the whole piece.
The hardware looks so good on it.
Thanks again for stopping by. I hope this inspires you to create your own look! Have a great day!
Have a great week!
