Spring is around the corner and I wanted to give this dresser a nice fresh makeover.

I love this style, it has gorgeous legs and the details are just lovely.

It’s a nice solid piece, but there were a few scratches that needed to be smoothed out. I used an orbital sander.

Once all of the hardware was removed, I cleaned it with Krud kutter. This spray solution can be found at Home Depot for around $7.

I chose this fresh green color from behr called oregano spice in a flat finish. I don’t like my furniture to have a sheen, so matt or flat are great to use.

It’s such a lush color!

I used a foam roller and brush for hard to reach areas.

I cleaned the hardware with barkeepers friend and a nail brush to remove excess dirt. Using a matt black spray from rust oleum, I sprayed each pull.

It took about two coats of paint. Once finished painting, I rubbed lemon wax from the chippy barn all over, then buffed up for a nice finish. I put the hardware back on and done!

I love the contrast. The color is so pretty.

I used a sand medium grit block to lightly distress the details, then voila, it’s done! Thank you for stopping by, I hope this inspires you to freshen up your furniture and give it a new life!
