I love to transform furniture and give it a new life and saving it from the landfill.

This piece was one I found on marketplace.

Usually on these dated pieces I dig the hardware but this hardware was chain links and I felt new pulls would modernize the piece.

Before

After I cleaned the piece I used some bondo to fill the existing hardware holes. I wanted to add knobs and drill a hole in the center of the drawers instead.

Bondo dries pretty quickly and I used 120 grit with my orbital sander and smoothed the bondo out.

I painted the piece in Annie Sloan Chateau Gray chalk paint and added the new geometric knobs I picked up from Hobby Lobby.

I do love to distress my pieces usually so a quickly hand sanding around the edges and she was ready to go.

And there you have it!

Updated hardware and a little paint can make a huge difference and take a dated piece and make it fit in with your space.
