Have fun with old furniture! Paint an old dresser in a fun green chalk paint!

I paint furniture for others, and I had a special request for this dresser. She wanted a specific green painted dresser!

Get all the details on how to paint an old stained dresser and the color we used on the blog.

The dresser started out just like this. Old, beaten up, and the bottom drawer was sticking a bit.

It came with a mirror, but she didn't want the mirror with the dresser anymore.

After a lot of back and forth, she picked out the perfect green for her dresser.

First we prepped the dresser by cleaning it and scuff sanding the old finish to make sure the paint stuck really well.

Then I mixed up the custom color into homemade chalk paint. I love to spray furniture, so I sprayed it with my favorite paint sprayer. Then I sealed the chalk paint with water-based poly.

We finished it off with white mushroom knobs!

I love that she went with a bold green instead of a neutral color. And chalk paint made the dresser makeover nice and easy!
