Well it is the start of the holiday season so why would everything go as planned? This was something that could not happen at a worse time....a couple of the wheels on the bed frame casters broke off. The bed frame is now sitting on the carpet. Add some body weight and I'll have holes in the carpet for sure. And forget about moving the bed.

So searching for a matching caster wheel is just not on the list of things to do, so what can I do........

I remembered that I had some packages of Caster Cups. That's all I needed. Bed is ready for company and it took all of 10 minutes.

Here is my broken frame....Of course there are not just 4 casters, since there are 4 caster cups in a package...so you have to have to containers...good thing they are super cheap.

When I break something I don't do it half way.....The wheel was completely crushed and in at least 5 pieces...there were two wheels in the same condition.

Here is the solution...Simple little caster cups. they are less than 2.00 for a package of 4 in case you don't have any on hand. I got mine at Walmart.

After I removed all of the wheels, I placed the caster cups under each of the pegs. The wheels just pull right out so it's very easy. Now my carpet is protected. These are not slider type cups so the bed does slide on the carpet. You can get those types of cups and then you could move your bed really easy. If you want those type, I would highly suggest the type that have a sticky back so the sliders don't come off while moving the bed around.
