Take a look at what I did for the this month. The theme was geometric design and the sponsor was General Finishes! Such great products they have. I used the Champagne Pearl Effects on my tables. Take a look!
I started with these laminate beauties!
I used white chalk paint from Folk Art to paint the base color. In my mind I wanted to create a pattern over the flat chalk paint with the Champagne Pearl Effects so the design would be prominent when the light hit it just right. I started with one of the shelves to see if this would work. It turned out so nice.
So now that I knew my idea would work I taped the sides of both tables and the other shelf. I used some washi tape for this.
I added some boards from Menard's painted with chalkboard paint to the top and some legs as well. They were definitely looking better.
See the fun geometric design. The Champagne Pearl Effects worked like a charm!
What do you think? They are a little high for the bed so I think some risers may be in our future. I am still deciding about that! But all in all I love the way they turned out. And now they are useful again!
Enjoyed the project?

I wondered how you did the geometric design at first, but of course, tape it. They worked out just beautifully. And those little tables were fit for the trash before you set about them with your keen eye for art. Great.

Michelle, I have just looked at your site and am really impressed with your talents. You put me to shame. I shall look at more of your projects in detail and see if I can do something nice like you have done.
