How to Unite Your Mismatched Furniture

A few weeks ago one of my friends messaged me a bunch of questions about how to paint furniture and I could tell she was super nervous about it so I told her I would just do it for her....
The small chest on the left was in good condition (albeit a little more orange then I think would be preferred these days), but the nightstand was in rough shape- it was stained and peeling and just really outdated. Also, they functioned as a set of nightstands in her house but they looked absolutely nothing alike.
I used a custom chalky paint (mixture outlined in my blog post!) and updated the knobs to match and it made a huge world of difference! The curves on the side of the chest mimic the curves on the front of the nightstand and they look great together now!
I know some of you are wood purists and this might be awful- but for my friend it was the perfect solution!
