Lakeside Bench

by Donna M Olson
Bench made from headboard.
Grabbed a headboard from garbage! Cut bottom in half with skil saw and attached to front.
Took 2x4 and made a square box to fit inside. Cut scraps of tongue and groove boards that were laying around to fit inside. After complete I added a sea foam green paint.
Add letter stenciling. Then take sander and scuff up to make primitive. Hitting the edges the most. Added a dark walnut stain (that's all I had laying around) wiping off the whole bench with towel before dries to give nice even look. Leave darker in corners. Once dries add one to two coats of polyurethane!
Sit back and stare at accomplishment!
This is my half finished results for now as I want to put all this on a old dog eat fence!
