I am redoing my mother's room and she needed a new night stand to use ...
So I dug out an old one from the basement that came from my Grandmother's house. I never throw away solid wood furniture, and boy was I glad to have this around!
All it needed was a little cleaning, some paint, a little sanding, stain and new hardware and voila!!
Brand new ❤
Not so pretty anymore, but it does have great lines. I first had to give it a good scrubbing and a light sanding to prep it.
The top of the table was the worst and it was missing some hardware so I had to use some new ones.
Here it is after some Fusion chalk paint and new hardware
(Which I bought at Kent on sale for .99 cents months ago...)
Bottom part was done, now is the time to work on the top.
I sanded the top and applied a stain I had laying around...
It needs a coat or two of urethane once the stain is fully done but ...
Voila, c'est tout fini
Suggested materials:
  • Fusion chalk paint   (Phillips and Chestnut)
  • Stain   (Kent)
