Non-rusting metal generally is longer lasting and require less maintenance than wood.
Metal would rust. Cedar wood would be the absolute best. Here’s how we made some raised beds affordably: https://www.frugalfamilytimes.com/2013/05/how-to-build-raised-garden-bed-boxes/
Metal will last longer than wood.

Wood gets my vote.
Unless it is aluminum which will not rust, I would vote for wood.
I like the look of wood better and it should last awhile if you take care of it... however, rust resistant metal will probably last longer and you won't have to worry about critters as much with it (chewing on it, etc.).
Wood since metal rusts and is MUCH more difficult to work with. You can easily cut wood not so much for metal.
I fell wood is more cost effective and personally size adaptable.
Would definitely go for wood. Since wood is very easy to use material and there's always a possibility that metal will rust.
There are pros and cons to each material so you'll need to weigh those then pick whichever best suits your goals. Wood is most readily available but both will require maintenance.
Hello,
It is just a matter of which material you like the look of. Both will need to be repaired or replaced eventually, You could use a combination of both materials or maybe use Railway Sleepers They are heavy, but will last.
