Rock It With SK

SK on Elderberry

2 Materials
Two ancient rockers regain a little respectability and fun while growing old(er) together.
Each of these old oak rockers have their own personality. The bigger and older rocker has more detail to play with.
Sanding lightly then using my custom chalk paints, I painted a red undercoat. I sand in between each coat.
Dots and Doolittle
I have always enjoyed the MacKenzie Childs painting style. Fun, Crazy and sometimes outlandish. I thought it might be fun to try this time consuming paint style for myself with my custom chalk paints.
The little cushioned seat was made from exterior poka dot fabric.
Love The Graphics Fairy and use her work as much as possible. These cute little birds fit perfectly.
Lace and Lady Bugs.

I painted the transparent lace for a bit of different...

I added a little pillow with the extra fabric to tie the chair designs together.
With the final paint coat dry and sanded back and antiqued,  I use a paste wax and then buff. I wax and buff three times.
Thanks for visiting.
