I despise sink messes, but we have so many tools! I found an entertainment center and repurposed it to contain every item I needed to get ready for the day. Hair tool drawer complete with a power strip and tile for the hot tools surface, make-up cubbies, as well as jewelry station. All tucked neatly inside a lovely farmhouse dresser.

This is what my "Get Ready Center" looks like finished.

This is in my new setting, I added a briefcase hook, which completed everything I needed to feel good coming and going with work.

Originally, I purchased this at a resale shop for $45. It was originally a TV cabinet and the top was pulled down to reveal the inside. Excuse my concrete floors, always in the midst of a DIY!

I purchased a piano hinge and added it to the right side of the cabinet so it could open like a door. I filled in the one knob hole eventually on the right, and kept the other. I removed the mirror and added beadboard to fill the empty spot.

I added a power strip in the back of what would have been the VCR or DVD drawer. I also added a piece of floor tile to absorb the heat from my hot hair tools.

This was a watch face I had and I thought it would be a great little clock while I got ready. I added a ribbon and pinned it inside.

I collected little shot glasses in which to store my makeup brushes. as you can see, I wasn't too picky about the finish as I was in a hurry to make it work for me and I still have touch-up I want to do someday, but it is working fabulously for me and looks pretty regardless.

I repurposed the mirror from the front and mounted it inside. I used stick-on hooks on the inside of the door to hang my necklaces and mounted some white felt behind to absorb the sound of the chains against the wood of the door.

In the drawer on the left, I store foundation and powder, with other face makeup items.

The right-hand drawer is all about the eyes.

I collected different delicate cups and dishes from Goodwill to hold my jewelry and bobbles.

I pinched a ribbon behind the wooden frame pieces in order to hang dangly earrings, and mini craft store laundry clips are used to hold earrings onto the ribbon.

Corkboard, Little Craft wooden frame cut at the corners...

I used a piece of art purchased from a thrift store and flipped it over to utilize the back recessed area. I put the corkboard inside after spray gluing fabric onto it.

How the door looks now. So much storage!

Great idea!! The dresser looks awesome and everything within is so practical. If I had extra space I would definitely try this. Great job!!
