Guest Cottage Shed Plans: Modern Farmhouse Meets Bohemian Cottage

Over the next 6 weeks, my husband and I will be converting a 10' x 12' garden shed into a cozy guest cottage complete with a built-in trundle bed, storage cabinets, and a breakfast bar. The guest cottage will have a modern farmhouse meets cozy bohemian cottage vibe. Today, I'm sharing the before pictures, the floor plans, and some digital before and afters so you can get an idea of how the room will look once it's done. The really fun part of this renovation is that we'll be recording the entire process into a time lapse video and sharing it with the Hometalk community on reveal day!

It doesn't look like much from this picture on move-in day, but soon this garden shed will get some much-needed TLC. You can read more in this post about why we chose to renovate this garden shed, how it looks currently since we did some minor exterior improvements, and why it sits in the front yard directly beside the front porch.
The inside has been untouched.

We'll pack functionality into the small space with built-ins similar to the ones in my oldest son's bedroom.

The cabinet on the left side of the bed will house a kitchenette with a refrigerator, coffee bar, and sink. The cabinet on the right side of the bed will be for hanging clothes and storage.

Our goal is to have this guest house complete in 6 weeks (May 11th) on a budget of $2500. Wish us luck!
I hope you follow along on our blog as we tackle this fun project!
