Little Girl's Bedroom Makeover

When we moved into our new house, the bedroom that was to be our daughter's was dark, dingy, and the subfloor showed through the carpet. We knew that we couldn't let our tiny girl live in the worst room of the house, so I made it my number one priority to get the room updated and worthy of the tiny little princess that we loved so much! Today I wanted to share with you our daughter's Teal and Lilac Bedroom reveal (sorry, no before photo was taken).
I started by selecting this cute and inexpensive bedding from Target as my first inspiration. It was really affordable and I just loved all the patterns and colors. I have gotten more and more into enjoying mixing and matching patterns in rooms and this was the perfect opportunity to include lots of textures and patterns in an affordable way!
We hung some pretty polka dot and floral decals on the main wall behind her bed, which really made the wall fun and extra-perfect for a little gal.
I upgraded her furniture to a white bedroom nightstand and dresser, which is exactly what the room needed. In the corner is a little cloud mobile that once hung over her crib.
I hope to eventually paint all the trim white, but for the meantime it's brown. I got pretty black out curtains from Pottery Barn kids, which are PERFECT for the room!
I have my upcycled window on one wall with little decorations on it...a little piece of old mixed with lots of new.
And then I found the perfect E throw pillow, which is just what her bed was missing.
The globe is from Etsy and is one of my favorite parts of the room!!
