Unfortunately this started when the kids skateboards were 'taken' from our front of house garage when the door was left open for a couple of hours.
From there the boards went to being stored in the laundry room off of the back entrance (which oddly is at the front of the house but attached to the garage..so the "back door"!
just your basic sturdy shower hook!

I started by moving the existing rod forward

then mounted a rod behind it to allow for overlapping and hanging less used coats etc behind.

Then I simply hung the large 's' hook shower curtain hooks from the rods, and organized a 'toy' side and jacket/coat side.
They're sturdy enough to hold the skate boards
and several coats quickly and easily hung up!

I used the same type to hang tiny Chinese Lanterns over the tops of my shoji screens on the Lanai

Seems that each jacket & sweatshirt will have a 'pointy bulge' on them... Regular hangers would diffuse the pressure on the fabrics.

Use the "Looped" tag inside to slip over the rings and you wont have that pointed indentino on your coats, t-shirts, etc
